Ravipudi emphasized that Venkatesh’s character is not included merely for star appeal. “It’s a plot-driven character and is an impactful one. His character is central to the narrative and comes at a crucial juncture,” the director stated, adding that the role is designed to elevate the film’s comic and emotional quotient.
The film, tentatively titled Mega 157, is described as a breezy comic caper, a genre both Chiranjeevi and Ravipudi are known to excel in. The director’s previous collaborations with Venkatesh—F2, F3, and Sankranthiki Vasthunnam—have all been box office successes, with the latter becoming the biggest Tollywood hit of 2025.
The film has completed multiple shooting schedules, including one in Dehradun, and is currently filming in Hyderabad. Scenes featuring Chiranjeevi, Nayanthara, and Catherine Tresa have already been shot. Venkatesh is expected to join the Hyderabad schedule, where his scenes will be filmed alongside Chiranjeevi.
Produced by Shine Screens and Gold Box Entertainment, Mega 157 is slated for a Sankranthi 2026 release. With its blend of humor, action, and star power, the film is generating significant buzz among fans and industry insiders alike.
Venkatesh’s inclusion adds a dynamic layer to the narrative, promising a vintage Chiranjeevi experience paired with Ravipudi’s signature storytelling style.
