Actress Saranya Sasi, who was fighting brain tumour for the last 10 years, passed away today. She was just 35. The actress, who had undergone 11 major surgeries, was hospitalised due to COVID-19 a couple of weeks ago. Reportedly, even after recovering from COVID and other related problems, she was rushed to the hospital due to low sodium levels in blood and for pneumonia. Saranya breathed her last today (August 9) at noon at a private hospital in Trivandrum.
It was in 2012 while shooting for a TV serial that she suddenly collapsed and it was later found that, there was a tumour in the brain.
Saranya Sasi was diagnosed with cancer in 2012. Ever since she was under treatment for the same and had undergone about 11 major surgeries. The actress, who was facing a severe financial crisis, received the help of many people from the industry.
Recently, Saranya’s friend and actress Seema G Nair has built a house for the latter and the housewarming gained headlines too.
