Film producer Abhishek Pathak says it is not an easy work to present a successful regional movie to a large number of viewers with a remake. Pathak, who took over the responsibility of directing ‘Drishyam 2’, said film producer should make an old story by their own in order to present something new to audience.
“‘Drishyam’ is a loved brand. The movie was produced for Malayalam audiences. We are planning to make it for the pan India audience and so the writing has to be that way.
Pathak took over the duties of directing ‘Drishyam’ series as he is well-versed about its world since its foru seven years ago. The film producer had served as one of the makers of the 2015 movie. Directing three powerhouse actors Devgn, Tabu and Akshaye Khanna was an honour for the film producer.
“It is a dream come true for anyone having such outstanding talent to work on one film together. They are so intelligent enough that you know how things are to be done,” he mentioned.
Kumar Mangat Pathak, Krishan Kumar, Abhishek Pathak , Bhushan Kumar are the producers of ‘Drishyam 2’ . The movie is presented by Viacom18 Studios, T-Series and Panorama Studios.
