Mumbai, September 12 — Actor Karishma Sharma was hospitalised on Wednesday after sustaining injuries in a train-related accident while commuting to a shoot in Churchgate. The incident occurred when Sharma, dressed in a sari, attempted to board a moving local train. Upon realizing her friends couldn’t catch the train, she panicked and jumped off, resulting in a fall that caused head and back injuries.
In a statement shared via Instagram Stories, Sharma revealed she was left with a swollen head, bruises, and back pain. Doctors have advised an MRI and placed her under observation to monitor the severity of the head injury. “I’ve been in pain since yesterday, but I’m staying strong,” she wrote, requesting prayers and support from fans.
Close friend Tiyasha Paul, who was with Sharma earlier that day, posted updates from the hospital, including a photo of the actor lying in bed with an IV drip. Paul expressed shock over the incident, stating that Sharma had no memory of the fall and was found unconscious on the platform before being rushed to the hospital.
Karishma Sharma is known for her roles in Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2, Ujda Chaman, Ek Villain Returns, and web series like Ragini MMS: Returns and Fixerr. The entertainment industry and fans have poured in messages of support, hoping for her swift recovery as she remains under medical care.
