Television actress Jasmin Bhasin lost her eyesight. Her cornea was damaged by wearing contact lenses. The incident took place before going to perform a function in Delhi. Apart from Kajal, eyeshadow, mascara, and eyeliner for eye makeup, recently there has been a trend of wearing different coloured contact lenses. The younger generation now prefers to wear contact lenses instead of glasses. It has almost become a trend to wear coloured lenis to match the colour of the dress on the wedding day. However, if you wear contact lenses continuously for a long time, various eye problems are seen; sometimes danger like jasmine can occur.
After wearing the lenses, the water in the cornea dries up. This can cause serious eye damage. Contact lenses prevent oxygen from entering the eye. So it is better not to wear lenses for a long time. If you wear makeup after lenses, sometimes if kajal or mascara gets on the lens, it will cause initial irritation in the eyes, which can lead to an eye infection! There is no doubt that coloured lenses look attractive. But it is better not to use coloured lenses for regular wear. Also avoid cheap tinted lenses, as they can seriously damage vision.
