Actress Kelley Mack Passes Away at 33 After Battle with Rare Brain Cancer

Cincinnati, August 2, 2025 — Kelley Mack, acclaimed for her role as Addy in Season 9 of The Walking Dead, has tragically passed away at the age of 33 following a courageous battle with diffuse midline glioma, a rare and aggressive form of brain and spinal cord cancer.

Her family confirmed the news via a heartfelt Instagram post on August 5, stating that Mack died peacefully at home in Cincinnati, surrounded by her mother Kristen and aunt Karen. The actress had publicly disclosed her diagnosis earlier this year, choosing to share her journey with honesty and grace.

Born Kelley Lynne Klebenow on July 10, 1992, Mack began her artistic journey with a childhood gift—a video camera—that sparked her passion for storytelling. A graduate of Chapman University’s Dodge College of Film, she built a multifaceted career spanning acting, voice work, cinematography, and direction.

Beyond her breakout role in The Walking Dead, Mack appeared in Chicago Med, 9-1-1, Broadcast Signal Intrusion, and Delicate Arch. She also voiced Gwen Stacy in Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. Her creative contributions extended to screenwriting and filmmaking, including projects co-written with her mother.

Mack is survived by her parents Kristen and Lindsay Klebenow, siblings Kathryn and Parker, grandparents Lois and Larry Klebenow, and her boyfriend Logan Lanier, who remained a steadfast presence throughout her illness.
