Rajinikanth has given his first comment since being released from the hospital, where he underwent a planned medical surgery. In a message, he thanked his supporters for their prayers, love, and encouragement during his recuperation. On September 30, Rajinikanth was taken to Apollo Hospitals in Chennai for aortic swelling. Rajinikanth, who was released on Friday, posted a statement in Tamil. There’s’ he thanked all his political & film fraternity friends who wished him a speedy recovery.
On the professional front, Rajinikanth was last seen in Lal Salaam, directed by his daughter Aishwarya Rajinikanth, in which he had a cameo role. The film’s key actors were Vishnu Vishal and Vikranth. Last year, the superstar appeared in the Nelson Dilipkumar-directed film Jailer. Rajinikanth will next be seen in the highly anticipated flick Coolie. The recently released trailer shows Rajinikanth in an action-packed role, fighting foes with a belt made of gold watches. Sun Pictures, owned by Kalanidhi Maran, has backed the film.
