Akshay Kumar Scores Impressive Box Office Start with Welcome To The Jungle

Akshay Kumar’s comedy entertainer Welcome To The Jungle has made a strong start at the global box office, earning a worldwide gross of ₹29 crore on its opening day, according to trade estimates. Directed by Ahmed Khan, the film collected ₹22.50 crore gross in India and an additional ₹6.50 crore from overseas markets, reflecting a promising response from audiences.

In the domestic market, the third instalment of the popular Welcome franchise earned ₹15 crore nett on its first day across 10,892 shows. Including paid preview collections, the film’s India nett total reached ₹18.75 crore.

The opening performance surpasses that of Akshay Kumar’s previous release, Bhooth Bangla, directed by Priyadarshan. That film had collected ₹12.25 crore nett on its opening day, while its total, including paid previews, stood at ₹16 crore nett.

Produced by Firoz Nadiadwala, Rakesh Dang, and Vedant Vikaas Baali under the banners of Base Industries Group, Cape of Good Films, and Seeta Films, Welcome To The Jungle continues the successful franchise that began with Welcome (2007) and Welcome Back (2015).

The film features an ensemble cast including Suniel Shetty, Disha Patani, Jacqueline Fernandez, Raveena Tandon, Lara Dutta, Arshad Warsi, Paresh Rawal, Tusshar Kapoor, Shreyas Talpade, Aftab Shivdasani, and Jackie Shroff alongside Akshay Kumar.
