All of us did our best and have no regrets, says Mohit Sehgal on Naagin 5 coming to an end
MUMBAI: The fifth season of Naagin starring Mohit Sehgal, Surbhi Chandna and Sharad Malhotra, has come to an end and is being replaced by a new show Kuch Toh Hai: Naagin Ek Naye Rang Mein which is a spin-off of Naagin 5, produced by Balaji Telefilms.
Kuch Toh Hai – Naagin Ek Naye Rang Mein is a continuation as the title says Naagin will be seen in a new avatar and with a new cast. The story of this new serial revolves around a girl Vani Singhania who is the daughter of Bani (Naagin) and Veer (Cheel). The show stars Harsh Rajput and Krishna Mukherjee in the lead roles.
TellyChakkar got in touch with Mohit Sehgal, who played the role of Jai in the show. He shared, “Well, every good thing comes to an end and it is emotional to bid adieu to the show and the team. I have taken back good memories of time spent with my cast and crew. I miss the entire team and especially shooting in Croma. I want to thank Ekta Kapoor for the opportunity. I want to thank my fans who loved Naagin and supported us. Post Naagin, I am looking out for good offers either on TV or web.”
Since Naagin wasn’t as successful as other seasons, we asked Mohit what according to him was missing. He said, “Every show has its own destiny. We didn’t leave any stones unturned to make the show successful. All of us did our best and have no regrets. As far as my character is concerned, I haven’t faced any criticism. I haven’t heard anything bad about this season. And talking about ratings then I believe that these days there is so much content and choices available with so many series and films being launched which will eventually affect ratings.”
