Akshay Kumar, while addressing the commercial failure of Bade Miyan Chhote Miyan, recalled the advice Amitabh Bachchan once gave him to never turn down work.
Actor Akshay Kumar dismisses complaints of overexposure and says there is no guarantee that if he does only two films a year, they will be hits. The actor is quite famous and usually gives three or four films every year. But after consecutive flops, his critics have suggested that he should consider being more selective. In an interview, the actor recalled the advice given to him by the great Amitabh Bachchan, who himself has experienced career setbacks.
While interacting with Baradwaj Rangan on Galata Plus, Akshay said that he gave 12 days to OMG 2, a film which featured him in a supporting role, and he worked for 45 days on the upcoming Jolly LLB 3. Akshay said that he cannot impose himself on filmmakers and producers for more time than necessary and he worked for a full 80 days on his recent flop Bade Miyan Chhote Miyan. “What did you uproot?” he asked rhetorically, referring to the film’s commercial failure.
