Since Ram Mandir was dedicated in 2024, actor Amitabh Bachchan has made two investments in Ayodhya. His second piece of land, which is ten kilometers from the temple, was purchased there through his trust. According to the article, the land was bought by the Harivansh Rai Bachchan Trust, which was established in 2013 in memory of Amitabh’s father. It is the second piece of land he has purchased there, and it is 54,454 square feet. The actor purchased a plot of property in Haveli Avadh on January 16 of last year. At the time, the deal was for ₹4.54 crore.
Assistant Inspector General Pratap Singh of Ayodhya’s Stamp and Registration Department told the publication, “We can only confirm that sale deeds have taken place.” One would know the goal of the two investments once the local development authority had authorized the project plan. Rajesh Rishikesh Yadav allegedly completed both land transactions on the actor’s behalf. According to a source they cited, the larger land purchased now would be used for philanthropic reasons, while the area near Haveli Avadh would be used for residential purposes.
Amitabh only made brief appearances in the 2023 movies Ganapath and Ghoomer following the release of Uunchai in 2022. He costarred with Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, and Kamal Haasan in Nag Ashwin’s science fiction movie Kalki 2898 AD in 2024. He garnered positive reviews for his portrayal of Ashwatthama in the Telugu movie. Alongside Rajinikanth, he starred in TJ Gnanavel’s Vettaiyan.
