Hyderabad, October 13, 2025 — The first look of Anand Devarakonda’s upcoming Telugu film Takshakudu has been officially released, generating buzz across social media and film circles for its intense visuals and mythic undertones. Directed by Vinod Anantoju and produced by Naga Vamsi S under Sithara Entertainments, the film is set to premiere exclusively on Netflix in 2026.
The poster features Devarakonda in a rugged, fiery setting, holding a gun amid smouldering ruins. The tagline reads, “It began with Atyasa, and Prateekaram will follow,” hinting at a narrative driven by desire and revenge. The film also stars Nitanshi Goel, Nayan Sarika, Pragathi Srivastav, and Emmanuel Jabardast in key roles.
Takshakudu is described as a folklore-inspired survival thriller that follows a blind tribal man and his loyal dog as they navigate a cursed world after their village is destroyed. The story draws from traditional tales and explores themes of fate, vengeance, and resilience. Director Vinod Anantoju shared that the film is deeply personal, inspired by stories he heard growing up in rural India. “These were stories whispered around fires in the villages, stories that stayed with me long after,” he said.
This marks a reunion between Devarakonda and Anantoju, who previously collaborated on the critically acclaimed Middle Class Melodies. With Takshakudu, the duo ventures into darker, more emotionally complex territory, promising a cinematic experience rooted in cultural depth and visual storytelling.
The film’s announcement and first-look reveal have sparked excitement among fans, with many calling it one of Anand Devarakonda’s most intriguing projects to date.
