‘Andor’ Season 2: The most grounded chapter in Star Wars history is back

Andor Season 2 premieres on Disney+, offering a grounded, emotional take on the Star Wars universe. With strong writing and rich characters, it explores rebellion through everyday heroes, not Jedi legends.

The much-awaited Season 2 of Andor is finally here, premiering with three episodes on Disney+ this Tuesday. Star Wars fans are eager to follow the next chapter in Cassian Andor’s journey, played by Diego Luna, as the show dives deeper into the early days of the rebellion against the Empire.

Unlike other Star Wars shows, Andor takes a grounded and mature perspective, focusing on everyday people rather than just Jedi and Sith. Season 2 continues the story of how small acts of defiance evolve into a full-blown revolution. Creator Tony Gilroy, who also wrote Rogue One, says he had full creative freedom from Disney and Lucasfilm. “We didn’t get any creative notes. I’ve never had this much freedom,” Gilroy told the Associated Press.
