In an exclusive interview, Archana Puran Singh opened up about her friendship with Kapil Sharma and how this friendship has evolved over the years.
Actress Archana Puran Singh shares an amazing rapport with comedian Kapil Sharma. While the two are seen working together on The Great Indian Kapil Show, their friendship goes back years. Recently, in a conversation with Screen, Archana recalled how her relationship with Kapil Sharma has evolved over the years. She also revealed that Kapil is a private person and the two have a lot in common.
Talking about the beginning of her friendship with Kapil Sharma, Archana said, “It was Comedy Circus, where Kapil was a contestant like the other ten, then our relationship started. Who knew it would go this far? It was a relationship based on mutual respect, I was his senior and a judge on the show. From my side, the respect for him grew because I saw amazing talent, whenever I see that, I bow down to it for how pure and powerful it is. I built a similar bond with Krushna, Kapil and now it has turned into a family relationship.”
Talking about how Kapil is a very reserved person, Archana said, “Kapil is very comfortable with me now… he is not comfortable with nine out of ten people, he is a very reserved person in his personal life. He likes to keep things very private, you will not see him doing too much publicity. You will only see him on the show; he does not go to parties. When he comes to my house, he is very comfortable. If I go to his house, he is very comfortable, now our relationship has become very comfortable, it is based on mutual admiration.”
Archana Puran Singh told, “We both like to be around each other, we appreciate the same kind of humour. Though we have had very different upbringings, we have connected with each other and have come together on a common platform of humour.”
On the work front, Archana Puran Singh will next be seen in Toaster. She will also join Kapil in the third season of The Great Indian Kapil Show. Apart from this, Archana is seen creating content and vlogging with her family on YouTube every two weeks.
