Singer Arijit Singh has extended his support to his longtime friend and former Fame Gurukul co-contestant Qazi Touqeer, who has entered the Bigg Boss 20 house. In a post on X, Arijit said he would watch the reality show for the first time because his “rockstar” friend was participating, prompting fans to widely share the message online. Arijit and Qazi have remained friends since competing on Fame Gurukul in 2005, where Qazi emerged as the winner alongside Ruprekha Banerjee, while Arijit finished sixth. Their friendship has continued over the years, with Qazi recently visiting Arijit’s hometown of Jiaganj in West Bengal. During the visit, the two spent time together, rode around the town, played cricket and worked on music. Qazi praised Arijit for his sincerity, passion and lack of jealousy, describing him as a genuine and exceptionally talented musician. He also recalled that despite being hit by a cricket ball during their game, Arijit continued bowling before later spending several hours on music practice and editing. Their enduring friendship, which began as teenagers on a singing reality show, has now drawn renewed attention as Qazi takes on his latest reality television challenge, with Arijit’s public show of support adding a personal touch to his Bigg Boss journey.
