Aryan Khan, son of Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan, is set to make his directorial debut with the satirical action-comedy series The Ba**ds of Bollywood*, releasing globally on Netflix on September 18, 2025. The series is produced by Gauri Khan under the Red Chillies Entertainment banner and features a bold, insider take on the Hindi film industry.
The story follows Aasmaan Singh, an ambitious outsider who rises to fame after a blockbuster debut. As he navigates fame, rivalry, and betrayal, the series explores the power dynamics and emotional complexities of Bollywood. Lakshya Lalwani stars in the lead role, alongside Sahher Bambba, Bobby Deol, Raghav Juyal, Anya Singh, Mona Singh, and others.
The show features over 30 celebrity cameos, including Shah Rukh Khan (who also narrates), Salman Khan, Aamir Khan, Ranbir Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor, Ranveer Singh, Karan Johar, and Amitabh Bachchan. Aryan Khan co-created the series with Bilal Siddiqi and Manav Chauhan, with music by Shashwat Sachdev and editing by Nitin Baid.
All seven episodes will be available to stream on Netflix starting September 18, with content expected to go live at 12 a.m. PT / 3 a.m. ET. The series is being positioned as one of the most ambitious OTT releases of the year.
