Road Safety Advocacy Programme (RSAP), organised by KipiQomi Welfare Society (KQWS), Thilixu, Dimapur, commenced on February 12 by following the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) guidelines at Thilixu Baptist Church junction Dimapur.
A press release by KQWS stated that at the programme KQWS chairman, Kughaho Khala highlighted the schedule of activity plans and stated that distribution of pamphlets would continue on February 23 at Chekiye gate junction, Purana bazaar Zion hospital on February 26.
He further added that essay competition will be held at Hornbill School Chekiye and painting competition at Government High School Thilixu. Other activities such as quiz, seminar etc. will be held at Zunheboto district, he added.
The chairman further expressed gratitude to Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, administration of Dimapur, transport department and traffic personnel.
Earlier, the programme commenced with an invocation by Rev. Phuhoto Chishi, while distribution of pamphlets to vehicle drivers in the presence of traffic police personnel were carried out.
