Sunny Deol has been in practice ever since ‘Gadar 2’ stormed the box office. The audience is also excited about the actor’s upcoming film ‘Border 2’. Ayushmann Khurrana will join the battle for the Indian Army alongside Sunny in this war film. There were whispers that Ayushmann would be seen in the role of an Indian Air Force fighter pilot. However, there is strong news that the ‘Vicky Donor’ actor has removed himself from ‘Border 2’.
According to sources, Ayushmann was very enthusiastic about ‘Border 2’ from the beginning. He also held several meetings with the manufacturers. But recently he felt that his role in the patriotic war film might fade away to the Sunny Deol starrer. Photographically, it may be less important. It is heard inside Bolipara that the way the makers of ‘Border 2’ have started promoting this film with Sunny Deol in front of them, the idea has become more ingrained in Ayushmann’s mind.
Apart from Ayushmann, popular Punjabi singer-actor Diljit Dosanjh’s name has come up for ‘Border 2’. Note that Sunny Deol announced ‘Border 2’ by posting a video on social media last June. There the actor is heard saying, “27 years ago, a soldier promised he would return. He is returning once more to keep that promise and pay his respects to the soil of India.” Note, June 13, 1997. The film ‘Border’ directed by JP Dutt was released in theaters. The rest is history. The film set one precedent at the Indian box office. Sunny’s performance as ‘Major Kuldeep’ in the film was well received by the audience and critics alike.
