Babil Khan express his parents Irrfan Khan-Sutapa Sikdar never bought him a PlayStation, got him his first smartphone in college

Babil Khan revealed how he did not have a smartphone or PlayStation in his childhood as his parents Irrfan Khan-Sutapa Sikdar did not get him any electronic devices and instead focused on activities like gardening and painting.
Babil Khan, whose recent film Logout released on ZEE5 today, discussed his upbringing and the impact of digital devices during the promotions of the film. Logout is a screen-life thriller that serves as a cautionary tale about the dangers of social media. During the promotions, Babil was asked about his growing up years, especially his access to digital technology.
He shared, “In my home, I had freedom in many ways, but not materialistic things. I was never given a smartphone…” Babil revealed that he got a basic phone to stay in touch with his parents when he was 15. He didn’t get his first smartphone until he went to university.
The actor also talked about his distance from luxury gaming consoles: “I was never given a PlayStation.” Babil elaborated on how his parents, influenced by Rudolf Steiner’s educational philosophy, kept him away from anything that could hinder his natural development. Babil discussed how his parents’ unconventional approach helped shape his outlook on life, making him more mindful of the world around him rather than being consumed by technology.
It is this ground that he credits for his focus and disciplined approach towards his acting career. And it is his real, no-frills upbringing that makes him all the more relatable to audiences. Logout is the story of Pratyush, a digital influencer, played by Babil, who has 10 million followers and is set for a career milestone.
His dreams are shattered when his phone goes missing, causing him to lose control of his life due to a stranger. Babil will next be seen in the Indian-American film Yakshi, in which he stars alongside acclaimed Malayalam actress Anna Ben.
