‘Bas maidaan khelne ke liye barabar de do’: Kunal Kemmu after being freeze-out by OTT platform

After Vidyut Jammwal, now Kunal Kemmu whose film Lootcase is all set to release on an OTT platform also expressed his displeasure as he was not included in a social media announcement tweeted about by trade analyst Taran Adarsh Sunday.

Taking to his Twitter account, Kunal wrote, “Izzat aur pyaar maanga nahi kamaya jaata hai. Koi na de toh usse hum chhote nahi hote. Bas maidaan khelne ke liye barabar de do chhalaang hum bhi oonchi laga sakte hai (Respect and love are things to be earned. If no one gives it to us, it shouldn’t make us feel insignificant. Just give us a level field to play, we can do great things too).”

It was announced on Monday that 7 films will get a digital release in the coming months including Akshay Kumar’s Laxxmi Bomb, Ajay Devgn’s Bhuj: The Pride of India, Sushant Singh Rajput’s Dil Bechara, Abhishek Bachchan’s The Big Bull, Alia Bhatt – Aditya Roy Kapur’s Sadak 2, Vidyut’s Khuda Haafiz, and Kunal Kemmu’s Lootcase.

On Monday afternoon, in response to the announcement made on social media, Vidyut also took to his official Twitter account and said,”A BIG announcement for sure!! 7 films scheduled for release but only 5 are deemed worthy of representation. 2 films, receive no invitation or intimation. It’s a long road ahead. THE CYCLE CONTINUES.”

For the uninformed, Khuda Haafiz is a romantic thriller film, loaded with a lot of action sequences. Directed by Faruk Kabir, the film stars Vidyut along with Shivaleeka Oberoi. On the lockdown front, Vidyut has managed to keep his fans inspired by endorsing a healthy lifestyle. The Commando actor has been consistent in posting several workout videos, motivating his followers to stay fit.
