Beside being a perfectionist, SLB struggles on switching on a TV

Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s first ever streaming web series Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar has gained lot of attention since it’s release. There have been rift between the audience due to it’s polarising concept and on the other hand also earned massive applaud.

Sanjay Leela Bhansali is known for his perfectionist works which he has been delivering for years. Recently the filmmaker opened about his life, he said, “My life has been full of obstacles, every day. Even switching on a TV is an obstacle for me. It’s so difficult that somebody comes in and switches it on for me, but I can’t get it right. I’ll switch on a light and the bulb goes off. I walk into a room and the computer crashes. I have certain energies which make life very difficult for me in everything that I do.”

Further he shared about how he loves to live his life even after being one of the greatest directors of the industry. He recalled an incident during ‘Devdas’ movie making, “I slept on a mattress there. One day, Rekha ji, after watching Devdas, said that she wanted to meet the filmmaker. I said, ‘You’ll be disappointed.’ Yet she came. When the door opened, she saw this small, modest place and I told her, ‘I sleep here and I make my film here.’ I never thought I needed a bedroom or luxury.”
