Om Raut made his directorial debut in Hindi with Ajay Devgn fronted Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior. It won him multiple National Awards and the filmmaker is now gearing up for the release of Aadipurush with Prabhas, Saif Ali Khan and Kriti Shannon. Both films are produced by Bhushan Kumar, under his banner, T Series.
This clears up reports of Om Raut walking out and directing a superhero film for another banner. “Om Raut and Bhushan Kumar share a bond like no other director-producer. Bhushan has always supported Om’s vision and provided him with a budget that justified the scale and is looking to take this association forward with many more films. The two have big plans for the future and will be announced in due course. The deal existed long before Tanhaji’s release,” revealed a source close to the development.
Meanwhile, Bhushan Kumar’s other big films include Ek Villain Returns, Vikram Vedha, Thank God, Drishim 2, Circus, Shehzada, Animals, Spirit.
