LOS ANGELES, Sept. 19, 2025 — Seven years after her Grammy-winning debut “Invasion of Privacy,” rap icon Cardi B has made a dramatic return to the music scene with the release of her long-awaited second studio album, “Am I the Drama?” The 23-track project, released via Atlantic Records, marks a significant milestone in the artist’s career, blending personal introspection with high-energy performances and a roster of A-list collaborators.
The album arrives amid a flurry of public attention surrounding Cardi B’s personal life. Just days before the release, the rapper confirmed her fourth pregnancy—her first child with NFL star Stefon Diggs of the New England Patriots. The announcement followed a legal victory in a Los Angeles courtroom, where Cardi successfully defended herself against allegations stemming from a past incident during a private medical visit.
“Am I the Drama?” explores themes of fame, scrutiny, resilience, and empowerment. The title itself nods to the persistent media attention and controversies that have followed Cardi throughout her career. In her signature style, the Bronx-born artist channels these experiences into music that is unapologetically bold, witty, and emotionally charged.
The album features an impressive lineup of guest artists, including Janet Jackson, Lizzo, Selena Gomez, Megan Thee Stallion, Summer Walker, Kehlani, Cash Cobain, Tyla, and Lourdiz. Notably, Cardi includes two of her biggest hits—“WAP” and “Up”—on the album, a decision that sparked online debate. Addressing critics on social media, she defended the inclusion, stating, “These two songs don’t even count for first week sales so what are y’all even crying about?”
New tracks such as “Outside” and “Imaginary Playerz” showcase Cardi’s versatility, oscillating between hard-hitting anthems and smoother, radio-friendly flows. Viral sensation “Bodega Baddie,” which gained traction on TikTok prior to the album’s release, appears as track six.
In support of the album, Cardi B has announced her first solo arena tour, the “Little Miss Drama Tour,” set to begin in February 2026. The 30-plus date North American trek will include stops in major cities such as Los Angeles, New York, Chicago, Toronto, and Atlanta.
“Am I the Drama?” is now available for streaming on all major platforms, including Spotify and Apple Music. The release marks a defining moment in Cardi B’s evolution as an artist—one that embraces both her public persona and private journey with unflinching honesty and theatrical flair.
