Shane Nigam’s film Haal is finally set for release on December 25, after months of delay caused by a censorship dispute and legal battle. The Central Board of Film Certification had initially demanded 16 cuts, including the removal of a beef biryani scene, which the filmmakers challenged in the Kerala High Court. The court struck down several cuts and dismissed appeals from the CBFC and Catholic Congress, allowing the film to be cleared with a UA 16+ certificate.
