Chinese Ambassador to India Sun Weidong has assured actor Sonu Sood of “smooth functioning of export channel of materials to India”. Veteran actor Randhir Kapoor, who is undergoing treatment for COVID-19 at a hospital here, on Sunday said he has been moved out of the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). The 74-year-old actor was admitted at the Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital after he tested positive for the novel coronavirus earlier this week. “I am doing much better. Tamil director-cinematographer KV Anand died on Friday in Chennai due to Covid-19 related complications. He was 54. His last rites took place at Besant Nagar crematorium in Chennai. Anand started his career as a freelance photojournalist before he started assisting award-winning cinematographer PC Sreeram. He worked with Sreeram on Tamil films such as Kamal Haasan’s Devar Magan and Mani Ratnam’s Thiruda Thiruda in the early 90s.
