Workers die in Solapur due to lack of safety equipment in Maharashtra

Four municipal corporation workers dies while working on a drainage system in Akkalkot of Maharashtra's Solapur district on Friday. India successfully tested the ‘Pralay’ missile in the Odisha coast

India on Wednesday successfully tested short-range, surface to surface-guided ballistic missile ‘Pralay' off the Odisha coast, known from the DRDO sources. The missile is developed by the Defence Research Development Organisation which is based on Prithvi Defence Vehicle from the Indian ballistic missile programme. The missile, launched from the APJ Abdul Kalam Island at around 10:30 am, met all the mission objectives, the sources said. Strong earthquake of 6.1 magnitude hits India-Myanmar border; tremors felt in Kolkata, Guwahati

A shallow and strong earthquake of magnitude 6.1 was felt in India-Myanmar border. The quake was reported at 5.15 am with its epicentre at a depth of 73 km southeast of Thenzawl, Mizoram, according to the National Centre of Seismology (NCS). The tremors were felt as far away as in West Bengal, Tripura, and Assam in eastern India. The depth of the quake was 12 km. So far, no reports of any damage have surfaced.
