A viral video of Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor celebrating Christmas has triggered the complaint of a man in Mumbai who accused him and his family of “hurting religious sentiments”.
In the video, Ranbir Kapoor is seen celebrating the Christmas flambé tradition where a spirit is poured into the pudding and it briefly ignites. He is flanked by actress Alia Bhatt, his wife, in the video.
Sanjay Tiwari, who filed a complaint with the Ghatkopar police station through his lawyers Ashish Rai and Pankaj Mishra, claimed that the actor was “seen pouring liquor on the cake and setting it on fire while chanting Jai Mata Di”.
No first information report (FIR) has been registered in the case yet.
