Diljit Dosanjh donated Rs 1 crore to buy winter-wear for protesting farmers

Singer and actor Diljit Dosanjh has secretly donated Rs. 1 Crore for the warm garments and other needy factors for farmers who are protesting at the border of Delhi, in this harsh winters. This news was revealed by Punjabi singer, Singga with his fans.

Singga revealed that the actor made the generous donation and chose not to make a “big deal” out of it. The money will reportedly be used to buy woollen clothes and blankets for the elderly farmers who are currently braving the harsh winter in the national capital to continue their protest against the farm laws.

Diljit was in the news the past couple of days for his Twitter war with actress Kangana Ranaut. The actor won over fans and fellow netizens with his tactful replies to all of the actress’ posts. DiljitVSKangana, #DiljitDestroysKangana and many other such topics have taken over top trends on the micro-blogging site days after their spat. According to reports, Diljit’s tweets defending the farmer’s protests, not only won hearts but also won him over 4 lakh, new followers, on social media.The actor came into the scene on Thursday when he criticised Kangana for misidentifying an elderly woman, who had joined the farmers’ protest, as Bilkis Bano of the Shaheen Bagh protest. He also shared a video of the elderly lady in question, revealing that she was Mahinder Kaur.
