Dominic Sessa to Star as Anthony Bourdain in A24’s Biopic ‘Tony’

Dominic Sessa, celebrated for his performance in The Holdovers, has been cast as the late Anthony Bourdain in the biopic Tony. Directed by Matt Johnson, known for Blackberry, the film will delve into a transformative period in Bourdain’s life in 1976, set in Provincetown, Massachusetts. This chapter is pivotal, as it captures the early days of Bourdain’s journey before he became a global culinary icon.

Antonio Banderas is also part of the cast, though his role remains undisclosed, adding an air of intrigue to the project. Produced by A24, a studio renowned for its distinctive storytelling, the film is set to begin production next month.
