Daughter of veteran actors Dharmendra and Hema Malini, Esha Deol began her acting career in 2002 with the romantic drama Koi Mere Dil Se Poochhe, which also starred Aftaab Shivadasani and Sanjay Kapoor and many more multiple movies.
The actress in her recent interview shared that Dharmendra was initially reluctant about her joining Bollywood. Her father didn’t want her to join the industry.
Esha said, “It comes from him being an orthodox Punjabi male; they are known to be very protective of the women in their families. This is sort of a way of showing how protective he is and nothing else. Time takes its own course, and everything falls into place eventually.”
