Farah Khan recently shared a kind of superstition that films in which the lead female actors collapse on set often become hits. She cited the example of Kajol and Preity Zinta.
Farah Khan is one of those rare Bollywood celebrities who have made a name for herself in various capacities. Apart from being a renowned dancer and choreographer, she has also progressed as a director, writer and filmmaker. Now, she is shining as a social media star as well, with her frequent vlogs on her official YouTube channel becoming a sensation among netizens, especially thanks to her funny cook Dilip.
Recently, Farah and Dilip visited acclaimed actor Sanya Malhotra’s home, where the three of them indulged in a cook-along session. During the conversation, Farah noticed a mark on Sanya’s left leg, which the actress revealed was a scar from a bike accident on the sets of Vishal Bharadwaj’s Pataakha, in which she was working with Radhika Madan. Farah was quick to point out a kind of superstition between them that films in which the lead female actors fall on the sets often become hits.
“Kajol used to fall on the sets of all our films, including Kuch Kuch Hota Hai (1998). After a point of time, whenever she fell, we would heave a sigh of relief, assuming the film would be a hit. When we were shooting for Kal Ho Naa Ho (2003), Preity Zinta was giving a shot on a bridge and she fell. We were thinking, ‘Thank God, now the film is going to be a hit.’ So now, I sometimes push my actors on the sets,” Farah quipped. She served as the choreographer for both the films.
Like always, this vlog also featured light banter and some other fun moments between Farah and Dilip. When they were all in the kitchen, Sanya’s cook Sushila came up to Farah and asked if didi (Sanya) has any films that might suit her. Farah replied, “Why didi? Let’s make a film with you and Dilip; about Bihar and Jharkhand.” However, Sushila jokingly replied, “But he is already a superstar. I have to be a star first to pair up with him, right?” Farah still said that it doesn’t matter, as she is always looking for new people to pair up with.
