Hanu Raghavapudi’s ‘Fauzi’ Unveiled on Prabhas’s 47th Birthday as a Two-Part Patriotic Saga

On the occasion of pan-Indian star Prabhas’s 47th birthday, the makers of his upcoming period action film Fauzi released its highly anticipated first-look teaser, giving fans an exhilarating glimpse into an epic historical drama. Directed by Hanu Raghavapudi and produced by Mythri Movie Makers, the film features Prabhas in the high-octane role of a fierce Indian spy serving within the Azad Hind Force during the intense freedom movement of the 1940s. The two-minute-and-31-second teaser begins with a dramatic historical dialogue between Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, played by Subodh Bhave, and Adolf Hitler, where Bose seeks German assistance to liberate India from British colonial rule. Following Hitler’s refusal, Netaji reveals the covert existence of “Fauzi”—a covert operative played by Prabhas stationed strategically in Calcutta to defend the motherland against foreign oppression. The film marks the maiden collaboration between Prabhas and director Hanu Raghavapudi, promising an emotionally charged cinematic spectacle backed by a strong supporting cast that includes veteran actor Anupam Kher. Filming began earlier this year, during which photos from the sets surfaced online in April, prompting Raghavapudi to issue a public appeal urging enthusiastic fans not to leak sensitive details or visuals. Adding further intrigue to the project, the filmmakers have confirmed that Fauzi will be a grand two-part cinematic saga, with the second installment serving as a detailed prequel to explore the hero’s backstory. Slated for a worldwide theatrical release on December 3, the teaser sets high expectations for a visually magnificent, action-packed patriotic entertainer that honors the unsung sacrifices of freedom fighters.
