Hollywood Meets Bollywood: Warner Bros. Pictures, Bhanushali Studios & JOAT Films Forge Five-Film Deal to Reimagine Iconic Classics for Indian Audiences

Warner Bros. Pictures has joined forces with India’s Bhanushali Studios Limited and JOAT Films in a five-film strategic partnership aimed at creating Indian adaptations of iconic Warner Bros. titles.

The collaboration will reimagine beloved Hollywood classics through an Indian cultural lens, blending local storytelling with the universal themes that made the originals global hits. Warner Bros. Pictures will lead global distribution, underscoring the studio’s commitment to expanding its international footprint.

Denzil Dias, VP and Managing Director of Warner Bros. Pictures India, emphasized India’s vibrant and sophisticated film market, stating that the partnership will allow the studio to combine its storytelling legacy with exceptional local talent.

Vinod Bhanushali, founder of Bhanushali Studios, called the collaboration a “unique opportunity” to infuse Warner Bros. stories with Indian emotion, scale, and culture. Jack Nguyen of JOAT Films, who brings over 30 years of experience and a first-look deal with Warner Bros., will co-produce the films.

Development on the first title is already underway, with announcements about creative teams and production timelines expected soon.
