Superstar Hrithik Roshan, returning as RAW agent Kabir Dhaliwal in War 2, promises an action-packed spectacle for audiences. The teaser, unveiled on Tuesday, has been met with immense appreciation, particularly for Jr NTR’s powerful presence as the main antagonist and Kiara Advani’s dynamic role opposite Roshan.
Speaking about the overwhelming response, Roshan shared, “War is a really special franchise for me. Seeing the love that War 2’s teaser is receiving—whether it’s for NTR, Kiara, Ayan, myself, or the entire team—fills me with joy. Films of this scale aren’t easy to make, but we have put in our best efforts to craft an action spectacle for the audience.”
Having always been a fan of the action genre, Roshan expressed how much he enjoyed stepping back into Kabir’s shoes. “Since childhood, I’ve loved action films, and working on War 2 has been an absolute thrill. Playing Kabir again—this character who has been cherished for years—has been truly special for me.”
The film, the sixth installment in Yash Raj Films’ ambitious spy universe, is set to release in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu on August 14, 2025. Roshan further expressed gratitude for the audience’s enthusiasm, saying, “I’m incredibly humbled by the love and feedback that War 2 is receiving right from the start of our campaign. I can’t wait to see how people react when they experience it on the big screen.”
Produced by Aditya Chopra and directed by Ayan Mukerji, War 2 boasts six intense action sequences shot across five countries over 150 days. It joins the growing lineup of the YRF Spy Universe, which includes Salman Khan’s Tiger films and Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan. Up next in the franchise is Alpha, starring Alia Bhatt and Sharvari.
