Ram Chandra Paudel, a prominent member of the Nepali Congress, was sworn in as the country’s third president on Monday.
The oath was given to 78-year-old Paudel during a special ceremony at Sheetal Niwas, the President’s Office, by Acting Chief Justice Hari Krishna Karki.
High-ranking members of the administration, including the Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal, Speaker Dev Raj Ghimire, and Head of the National Assembly Ganesh Prasad Timilsina, were also there.
