Jr NTR says he wants to join Marvel Cinematic Universe, inspired by Iron Man: ‘It will be a proud moment for kids’

Jr NTR said that he wants to be a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe as his favourite superhero is Iron Man.
Telugu superstar Jr NTR, who is enjoying the success of SS Rajamouli’s RRR, has set his eyes on Hollywood, especially the Marvel Universe. In a recent interview, the actor expressed his desire to join the Marvel family, and called Iron Man his personal inspiration.
Jr NTR is promoting his latest release, Koratala Siva-directed Devraa, which also stars Janhvi Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan. When asked about his Hollywood ambitions, which the actor first spoke about while promoting RRR in the US, Jr NTR told Associate Press, “I have always said that I would love to be a part of the Marvel world, because Marvel, for me, is very special. Iron Man is definitely one of my favourite characters, because you don’t need to have super powers, you don’t need to be a god to have powers, you know, he’s just a human being. The kind of mind he has, it’s as simple as that everyone is a superhero. You, me, we all are. So, Marvel is a very exciting thing for me and I would definitely love to be a part of the Marvel world.”
But Jr NTR’s ambition is not just professional; it is personal. He wants his kids to be proud of him. “Because, for me, my kids also love Marvel. If I am cast in the Marvel world, it will be a very proud moment for them. I really want to see that in their eyes.” Jr NTR and his wife Lakshmi Pranathi have two sons – Abhay Ram and Nandamuri Bhargav Ram.
Though there has been no official meeting yet, Jr NTR is hopeful. When asked if he has met anyone from Marvel, the actor said, “Not yet, I am hoping for it.”
Jr NTR’s interest in Marvel coincides with the growing global appeal of Indian cinema, with Indian actors such as Priyanka Chopra, Deepika Padukone and Dhanush making their Hollywood debut. In fact, while promoting RRR in Hollywood, the actor had revealed that he was having meetings with a few filmmakers there.
