Kangana Ranaut is going to Delhi after Mandi win: ‘I am going to Parliament…’

Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut recently won the Mandi Lok Sabha seat by defeating Congress’s Vikramaditya Singh by over 74000 votes. The 37-year-old took to his social media handle on Thursday to share glimpses of his new political journey.

The Queen star shared a series of photos on her Instagram Stories to show her fans that she was on her way to Parliament. Kangana is looking very beautiful wearing fuchsia saree and blouse in the pictures. In one photo, she is seen hugging her mother Asha Ranaut while leaving for Delhi. “I am going to Parliament. Mandi ki sasand (Member of Parliament from Mandi),” he captioned a photo. Kangana also shared a picture and wrote, “Delhi calling.”

After her victory, Kangana Ranaut, during an interview with ANI, expressed her desire to continue serving the people of her constituency. Kangana said that “Mandi has not tolerated the insult of daughters. As far as my going to Mumbai is concerned, this (Himachal Pradesh) is my ‘birthplace’ and I will continue to serve the people here…so, I am not going anywhere. Probably, someone else will have to pack their bags and go. I am not going anywhere”.

In March, when BJP announced Kangana Ranaut’s candidature for the Lok Sabha elections, the Katti Batti actor thanked the party for electing her. “My dear India and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Bharatiya Janata Party, have always received my absolute support; today the national leadership of BJP has declared me as its Lok Sabha candidate from my birthplace Mandi (constituency), Himachal Pradesh. I follow the decision of the high command on contesting the Lok Sabha elections. I am grateful and excited to officially join the party. I look forward to becoming an able worker and reliable public servant.
