Kangana Ranaut set for Hollywood debut in horror drama ‘Blessed Be the Evil’ alongside Tyler Posey and Scarlet Rose Stallone

Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut is set to make her Hollywood debut in the upcoming horror drama ‘Blessed Be the Evil’, directed by Anurag Rudra. The film, backed by Lions Movies, will begin production this summer in New York.Ranaut will star alongside Teen Wolf actor Tyler Posey and Scarlet Rose Stallone, daughter of Hollywood legend Sylvester Stallone. The film’s screenplay has been co-written by Rudra and Gatha Tiwary, the president and founder of Lions Movies, who also serve as producers on the project.

The film follows a Christian couple who, after experiencing a devastating miscarriage, move to an abandoned farm with a dark past. As they attempt to rebuild their lives, their faith and love are tested by a malevolent presence. Director Rudra revealed that the film draws inspiration from Indian folklore, which he grew up hearing in rural India.

The film’s producers have opted to shoot in the United States to avoid uncertainties stemming from recently announced Trump-era industry tariffs. The project will also be presented to international buyers at the upcoming Cannes Film Market, generating early buzz for what could be one of the most anticipated horror films of the year.

Ranaut, a four-time National Film Award winner, was last seen in her directorial venture ‘Emergency’, where she portrayed former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. The film, however, failed to perform at the box office. With ‘Blessed Be the Evil,’ she joins the growing list of Indian actors making their Hollywood debuts, following Tabu, Ishaan Khatter, and Alia Bhatt.
