Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions to Release Teja Sajja’s ‘Mirai’ in North India

Bollywood filmmaker Karan Johar has officially partnered with People Media Factory to release the Telugu fantasy action film Mirai, starring Teja Sajja, in the Hindi-speaking markets of North India. The film is set for a pan-India theatrical release on September 5, 2025, in eight languages, including Hindi, and will be available in both 2D and 3D formats.

Directed by Karthik Gattamneni and produced by TG Vishwa Prasad and Krithi Prasad, Mirai is a high-octane action spectacle that blends Indian mythology with futuristic storytelling. Teja Sajja plays a fearless warrior—dubbed the “Super Yodha”—tasked with protecting nine sacred scriptures from a dark force led by the antagonist, played by Manchu Manoj.

Karan Johar expressed his enthusiasm for the project, stating that Mirai’s grand visuals and compelling narrative deserved the widest possible reach. His banner, Dharma Productions, previously distributed major South Indian blockbusters like Baahubali and Devara, and aims to replicate that success with Mirai in the Hindi belt.

The film also features Ritika Nayak, Shriya Saran, Jagapathi Babu, and Rajendranath Zutshi in pivotal roles. Music is composed by Gowra Hari, with the viral track “Vibe Undi” already gaining traction online.

With its ambitious scale, mythic themes, and pan-India appeal, Mirai is poised to be one of the most anticipated releases of the year. Dharma Productions’ involvement is expected to significantly boost its visibility and box office prospects in North India.
