Kesari Chapter 2 crosses ₹70 crore mark on Day 12, maintaining strong box office performance

Akshay Kumar’s latest release, Kesari Chapter 2: The Untold Story of Jallianwala Bagh, continues to perform well at the box office. Directed by Karan Singh Tyagi and produced by Dharma Productions, the historical courtroom drama has crossed the ₹70 crore mark in its 12-day run. On Day 12, the film earned ₹2.5 crore, bringing its total domestic collection to ₹70.65 crore.

The movie, which stars Akshay Kumar, R. Madhavan, and Ananya Panday in lead roles, is based on the aftermath of the Jallianwala Bagh massacre and the legal battle led by C. Sankaran Nair against the British Empire. Akshay Kumar portrays the role of the courageous barrister, while R. Madhavan plays Neville McKinley, and Ananya Panday takes on the role of Dilreet Gill.

Despite a dip in collections during its second weekend, the film has maintained steady earnings during weekdays. It has been particularly well-received in multiplexes across major cities like Mumbai, Delhi, and regions in Punjab and Uttar Pradesh. However, with new releases such as Raid 2 and Bhootnii set to hit theaters on May 1, Kesari Chapter 2 may face stiff competition in the coming days.

The film has resonated with audiences for its powerful storytelling and historical significance, making it a standout among recent Bollywood releases.
