Lata Mangeshkar health update: Veteran singer still in ICU, doctors note slight improvement

Veteran singer Lata Mangeshkar was recently admitted to the ICU of Mumbai’s Breach Candy hospital after she tested positive for COVID-19. Now, as per her latest health update, the legendary singer is still admitted to the ICU fighting the virus. But her doctor has also revealed that her health has improved. In a conversation with a news agency, her doctor Pratit Samdani said, ‘Singer Lata Mangeshkar is still in the ICU ward but there has been a slight improvement in her health.’

Earlier, her doctor had stated that the veteran singer would have to stay in ICU for another 10-12 days under observation. Her doctor also revealed that along with COVID-19, she is also suffering from pneumonia but fortunately the singer has not been put on oxygen support as of now. Previously, in a conversation with ETimes, her sister Usha Mangeshkar opened up on her veteran singer’s health and said, ‘She is doing much better now. Corona ka koi asar nahi hai uspe. She has a little bit of pneumonia, congestion, which I feel should get cleared today. She is fine now and within one or two days she should get discharged.’ 

“Prayers for your speedy recovery @mangeshkarlata,” Abhishek Bachchan tweeted.It is also learnt that Prime Minister Narendra Modi enquired about the health of Lata Mangeshkar.
