According to the latest media reports, a man named Lakshmireddy Srinu from Peddapuram in the Kakinada district of Andhra Pradesh died of a heart attack while watching ‘Avatar: The Way of Water’ by James Cameron with his younger brother.
He collapsed in the middle of the film and doctors declared him brought dead when he was taken to Peddapuram Government Hospital. He lived with a daughter and a son.
In 2010, a 42-year-old Taiwanese man died of a heart attack while watching the first episode of ‘Avatar’. The man had a history of high blood pressure and, according to the doctor who examined him, “over-excitement from watching the movie” triggered his symptoms.
