Mon police issue traffic regulation: Nagaland

In view of the proposed visit of union health minister, Dr. Harsh Vardhan, the Mon police have issued a temporary traffic regulation for smooth vehicular movement. 

According to DIPR report, the following locations have been notified as “no entry zone” till the departure of the VVIP from Mon town: Konyak Union Office junction to Private Station; private station (ENSF traffic point) to helipad ground; KNSK office junction via Assam Rifle Camp to helipad ground and helipad ground via private station via hospital junction. 

Meanwhile, the following locations have been notified as “entry points”: NST junction via Longwa junction via private station via SBI main branch via Bazar upper line via KNSK office junction via Angjong School via cultural office junction.  Police also stated that vehicles with the following passes would be allowed entry on the routes: vehicles with red pass would have unrestricted access in the “no entry zones” except towards Walo Guest House; vehicles with yellow pass would have all access except towards Walo Guest House, while vehicles with green pass would only be allowed entry till 9:30 a.m. in the “no entry zones”. Further, occupants are to be dropped at DBS junction by 9:30 a.m. to attend the function and the vehicle has to be parked in the vicinity of KU office or below.
