Shilpa Shetty has reunited with her sister Shamita Shetty after six weeks. The Mohabbatein star was away from home owing to her participation in Bigg Boss OTT. Shamita held her ground in the house for six weeks and was among the top 3 finalists of the reality show. However, she lost the winner’s trophy to Divya Agarwal.
Taking to Instagram, an excited Shilpa shared a few pictures of her reunion with Shamita. Shilpa was dressed in a blue and white outfit while Shamita wore a red dress. Shilpa showered her younger sister with love, giving her a kiss and squeezing her tight in the pictures.
Sharing the pictures, Shilpa wrote, “And my Tunki is back yaaay. You not gonna be able to get out of this tight SQUEEZE @shamitashetty_official. Welcome home.”
Earlier, Shilpa also praised Shamita’s efforts for sustaining in the Bigg Boss OTT house and cheered for her. The actress shared heartwarming videos of sister Shamita’s moment inside the Bigg Boss OTTT house. She captioned the post as “My Tunki is in the Top 5 and I’m such a proud sister. Her honesty and dignity through this journey inside the #BiggBoss house make my heart swell with pride and I’m so happy to see her come into her own. YOU are already MY winner my darling. For those unversed, Shamita’s brother-in-law Raj Kundra was arrested on July 19 along with 11 other people on charges related to the alleged creation of pornographic films.
Shamita’s mother also seemed to give co-contestant Raqesh Bapat her stamp of approval. She said that Raqesh is “such a sweet man, he’s a gentleman”.
Shamita and Raqesh appeared to have hit some sort of rough patch some time ago, and Shamita admitted to host Karan Johar that she is “very confused” about the situation and that maybe Raqesh “wants out”.
Shamita and Raqesh’s connection in the ‘Bigg Boss OTT’ house is matured, well-behaved and the most adored connection in the house.
During a recent episode, Shamita responded to an accusation that she treats Raqesh like a sidekick.
Shamita and Raqesh have admitted to liking each other, but he said that they are “just friends” when pressed by a fan.
Shamita said: “I think I’m somebody who puts my point across. Divya (Agarwal) and I didn’t get along, and it was difficult for me to see my connection and spend more time with her. When I don’t trust someone, it gets difficult for me. Trust is a very, very big thing for me, and loyalty is a very, very big thing for me.”
She added: “But, coming to what you said, I would never want to suffocate anyone in a relationship.” Asked what their current ‘relationship status’ is, Raqesh said with a laugh, “Just friends,” and Shamita agreed. Previously, she had told co-contestant Neha Bhasin that it is obvious that the two like each other. “He’s lovely but he seems very confused sometimes which is a little disturbing to me because I’m not confused. When I’ve made a decision, I stand by it,” she said.
