Nagarjun appeared in Hyderabad court for case against Telangana Minister Konda Surekha

Actor Nagarjuna appeared in Hyderabad court on Tuesday to give his statement in criminal defamation case against Telangana Minister Konda Surekha. This legal action was initiated in response to the minister’s contentious remarks about the divorce of Nagarjuna’s son ex-marriage. Surekha accused BRS leader KT Rama Rao of being engaged in the couple’s breakup. Her statements drew criticism from both political circles & the Telugu film business. Surekha then retracted her words, stating they were made during an emotional time.

According to the sources Nagarjuna together with his wife Amala & son Naga Chaitanya appeared in court in Nampally to submit his case. He filed a defamation complaint under Section 356 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita claiming that Surekha’s comments were not only inaccurate but also damaging his family’s public image. Following Surekha’s words, Samantha and Naga Chaitanya officially stated that their divorce was mutual. The ex-couple slammed the minister’s words as disrespectful and several notable personalities in the Telugu cinema business expressed their displeasure. The case scheduled for hearing on October 10.
