According to reports, Netflix bought the rights to stream The Jawan while fans were still enjoying the film in theaters. The jawan was reportedly sold in rupees. Rs 250 crore for its satellite rights, which include digital rights, satellite broadcast rights and music rights.
Experts estimate that Pathan came to the OTT platform 56 days after running his theatre, it is possible that Jawan may consume digital screens in late October or early November this year (mostly around Diwali). However, the makers are yet to confirm the official date.
The OTT rights of Jawan have been sold to Netflix for a whopping Rs 250 crore. A report in Free Press Journal states that the makers have already signed on the dotted line with an OTT giant to screen the film. An official announcement is expected later this month or in the first week of October.
