After a break of eight months due to the pandemic lockdown, Indrajith will resume work with debutante director Indu VS’ upcoming film that has Nithya Menen and Vijay Sethupathi in the lead.
Talking about signing the film that will go on floors soon, Indrajith says, “I am playing an important character in the film which is a realistic drama with social relevance and requires strong performances from all characters. The movie has an intense story reflecting the current social political scenario.”
On working with Indu, he says, “I have known her for years and over the course of the last two years, she has discussed many subjects with me and all of them had novel threads. I always wanted to work with her and when she told me about his character in her debut directorial, I wanted to do it.”
Meanwhile, 19(1)(a) marks Nithya Menen’s return to Malayalam cinema after a hiatus. She was last seen in V K Prakash’s Praana. The movie that released last year failed to impress the moviegoers. Besides Indhu VS’ directorial venture, Nithya Menen has another Malayalam film with Shine Tom Chacko. The movie titled Aaram Thirukalpana is directed by Ajay Devaloka. The film is slated to hit the marquee next year.
