On Pritam’s birthday, read how he shaped his way in Bollywood

Famous Bollywood music composer Pritam Chakraborty is celebrating his birthday today on 14th June. He is called the hit machine of Bollywood in terms of music. He has entertained everyone with his music not only in many big budget films but also in the recently released film ‘Ludo’ or Shahrukh Khan’s film ‘Diwale’. Pritam has been a part of very few reality shows too.

Not only this, He is the one who gave Arijit Singh a chance to sing in Bollywood. Pritam stayed in Mumbai and taught him the art of understanding music well and Arijit worked with Pritam for 10 years.

In his career, Pritam has also been accused of stealing the tune of songs but he never paid attention to it. After these allegations, he has also paid money for many copyrighted tunes but he never let this become a big issue. He also received numerous awards and honors.

Pritam comes from a Bengali family and is the son of famous music teacher Prabodh Chakraborty, because of which he got music education inside the house. He did his studies in Kolkata itself.

In January 1993, Pritam joined the Film and Television Institute in Pune for a course in sound recording and sound engineering. After completing his studies from here, he came to Mumbai and after much struggle, he is now the music director we all know and love.

According to media reports, he has worked in more than 200 films till date. He also constantly brings many innovations in his music, because of which he is very much liked by the directors of the films. Anurag Basu is crazy about Pritam’s work. The music that Pritam gave in his film Barfi is still in discussion.
