Pawan Kalyan Returns in Fierce Avatar as ‘OG’ Trailer Unleashed

Hyderabad, September 22, 2025 — The official trailer of They Call Him OG, starring Telugu superstar and Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan, was released on Monday, igniting massive excitement among fans and industry watchers. Directed by Sujeeth and produced by DVV Entertainment, the film is set for a theatrical release on September 25.

The 159-second trailer showcases Kalyan in a gritty, action-packed role as Ojas Gambheera — a feared gangster who resurfaces in Mumbai after a decade-long disappearance. Set in the 1990s, the film promises a high-voltage clash between OG and mafia boss Omi Bhau, played by Bollywood actor Emraan Hashmi, who makes his Telugu debut with this project.

The trailer opens with visuals of a city gripped by gang wars and fear, setting the tone for a revenge-driven narrative. Kalyan’s character returns to settle old scores, triggering a bloody turf war that pits loyalty against betrayal. Hashmi’s portrayal of Omi Bhau adds menace and intensity, hinting at a showdown that’s both ideological and personal.

Fans were treated to glimpses of stylized action sequences, dramatic confrontations, and a haunting score by Thaman S. Supporting cast members Priyanka Mohan, Prakash Raj, Arjun Das, and Sriya Reddy also feature prominently, enriching the film’s layered storyline.

The trailer was first screened at a pre-release event held at LB Stadium in Hyderabad, where Kalyan made a striking entrance dressed in black, wielding a sword — a nod to his on-screen persona. The event, dubbed the “OG Concert,” drew thousands of fans and was streamed partially online.

With its blend of mass appeal, stylish visuals, and emotional depth, They Call Him OG is being positioned as one of the biggest pan-India releases of 2025. The film marks Sujeeth’s return to the action genre after Saaho, and is expected to set new benchmarks in Telugu cinema.
