Ram Chandra Paudel, a prominent member of the Nepali Congress, was sworn in as the country’s third president on Monday.
Acting Chief Justice Hari Krishna Karki administered the oath to the 78-year-old Paudel at a special function at the President’s Office Seetal Niwas.
Senior members of the administration including Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal, Speaker Deb Raj Ghimire and National Assembly Speaker Ganesh Prasad Timilsina were also present.
